I can now hear the little wrens chirping each time one of the parents comes with a morsel to eat. Things are happening quickly in the birdhouse. How nice that you got that from your mother’s home. I love columbines and yours look so pretty. Mine are up but a ways from blooming. I do love bird watching too. Right now we’re visited by at least a dozen goldfinches and many more. I saw a pileated woodpecker try to get on my suet the other day. They are very elusive and can be hard to photograph because of it. The wren looks so cute. I didn’t know about the male’s nest building habit. Well, I love your columbine flowers, so pretty with their colouring, and full of the bobbing demure nature of this traditional cottage garden plant. However, it's your woodpecker photos I admire most. They are such flighty, fast moving feathery friends that are almost impossible to capture, yet you have done so brilliantly with both to get lovely, clear images.

Your garden is a reward for all your hard work and effort, so sit back and enjoy it, before the searing heat of summer comes!
