The social distancing issue still bothers us on the trail, but we just get out of everyone's way! I too am worried about the political climate and how the protests will start a second wave of Covid-19. Joy is found everywhere I look, my friend and I hope the same for you. I can understand your frustration....HI Martha Ellen
I can understand your frustration. Our neighborhood is mainly young families and they seem to feel they have nothing to fear from this virus, or at least as much as we as seniors fear. Happily many people do wear masks while shopping, as well as store staff, so that has been a relief. I do fear all the protests that are happening now are going to make the virus resurge in high numbers. Too much sadness these days. Stay well and find joy in each day as much as possible (( hugs)))Pat @ Mille Fiori Favoritihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08922525910685129822noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7664100447631245881.post-75670685125085976822020-05-28T21:09:05.171-04:002020-05-28T21:09:05.171-04:00Thank you, Linda. One thing that always made me kinda sick was people who would use the rest room and talk on their cell phones, now that is nasty. Maybe people will be a little more cleaner now. Children sneeze in their shirt or elbow as they have allergies when outside. I wear a mask when out in a store but this has to pass and getting sunshine and fresh air helps. I was just reading the pandemic of 1957-58. Interesting.
I am not worrying because it just doesn't do any good. Take precautions and love and live life and laugh, it's so good for us. I look forward to hearing about your trip to South America and seeing some scenery from there. I hope you will feel like posting that soon. This will pass. But the thing is they still stay to the right and even thank us for getting out of their way! Sadly on the trail today, no one, I mean no one went single file or kept 6 feet away from us and others. Our state is now in Phase One and it looks like all caution is thrown to the wind. It truly infuriates me and I don't like how it makes me feel about my fellow man.
My garden really centers me in many ways, but especially during these trying times. I know you are finding joy in your home as well. Take care, my friend. I'm fine at home; I ...I am so with you on this. I'm fine at home; I don't really miss going out all that much and have done many things I enjoy. But when I go for a walk I am appalled at how many either don't wear masks to give distance or step aside on the trail. I do (and maybe because I do, they don't) but it's terribly frustrating. Local friends have shared their grocery shopping stories and they don't give me any sense of confidence in going out. And I see way too many cars parked and hear music, knowing someone is partying with a crowd. You're right -- this will make it last all the longer.

I will err on the side of caution if it comes to wearing a mask or not, shopping or not, distance or not. And my docs and two doc friends who don't treat me but treat lots of others say to do the things we are doing are smart and the only way to get on top of this. They aren't the media; they're people that read the stuff and know what to do.

So, it's your blog. Vent when you need to. I think you'll find a lot of support, judging by the comments here.

And the flowers, arbor, they're all beautiful.
