Grandchildren Joy

I'm blessed beyond measure.  There are many joys in my life.  Does this mean that I live a fairytale?  No!!  There are things in my life that I have given to God to handle--they are too much for me to take care of!

I choose to focus on joy instead of all the other problems that exist around me.  I want this blog to indicate joy--but not indicate I have a perfect life.  I am blessed to have three wonderful grandsons that I love spending time with.  This weekend we were able to visit with the grands.  While Grayden was helping our son Grady with a project, I took Miles to his soccer game.  He had three make up games this weekend.  It was fun going with him alone.  Miles is the youngest grand.  We usually don't have much time alone with each grandchild.  I think he really enjoyed Boo going with him.  His team did lose the game--but he said he was pleased how he played.

We all spent time together before the game.  Miles wanted to "make up" a game.  So he got out the paper and the crayons and proceeded to make squares of many colors that indicate different moves.  When he was finished with the game on paper, I said we need a dice.  Alex goes into his room and brings a dice back--I crack up!

I love the creativity of these children. It was a fun game to play and moved very quickly.  By the way, this dice has a rock in the center --it makes an interesting thud when rolled!
So much Joy!

    1. Vee, they get along well most of the time. There is only 18 months difference in their ages --they do like different things so that helps with peace. ♥

  8. I am waiting for my turn to be a Grandma. I told my sons to wait until they were 30 to get married, and the oldest one is. He is looking!
I loved those board games! My sons would've loved the GIANT dice. LOL…
What is the name of the flower in the first frame???

    1. Hi Margot, you are going to love being a grandparent. It's so much fun.
The flower is columbine--so easy to grow and since it's a perennial it comes back every year. They also reseed themselves about the garden. I have native Va red ones also. My garden is part shade and they seem to like it there. ♥

    1. Thank you, Stephanie. It is a blessing that they live only 50 miles from us. Our eldest grandson lives with us now as he is attending school locally.

  10. Martha, a happy Mothers Day and Grandmothers day to you! I think you have some handsome young men there, and they will love their Gramma forever. You definitely are fortunate to have them close... (and so are their parents) Brings back memories of watching my now grown boys at their games.
