We have another mantel in our Florida room that is fun to decorate for Spring. There is another one in our family room downstairs, but I won't be showing photos. Our grandson Samuel has it decorated with Transformers and various items that he collects. Let's just say it's not too Spring looking.
We've had fun over the years with these topsy-turvy eggs. Some of their expressions describe our family members. I printed out the banner from Ann's site--Here She has lovely things to print and great ideas. I really should have cleaned the copper sconces on the wall--please ignore the tarnish!
I have quite a few pieces of Jim Shore. I'm sure you recognize his work.
The little sheep salt and pepper shakers had to come home with me a few years ago. The little bunnies came from the Dollar Tree this year. You can't beat a dollar for these little cuties.
Years ago I made this egg and chick in ceramics. Today it holds the egg tree.
I have a couple of these Beatrix Potter flower vases that are nice to put out in the Spring.
My Mama gave me this little Easter basket. I must bring it out every year as it is the last gift I received from her. ♥
That's a fun mantel with the rabbit leaping over the egg moons. I do live under a rock, which is why I didn't recognize the scenes in the eggs. They're cute, too.
ReplyDeleteVee, Jim Shore has a charming style that incorporates old quilt patterns in his work. It's a country style that appeals to my love of old quilts. Have a nice day, my friend. ♥
DeleteYou have such a beautiful mantle! I love the decor!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Pilar. Have a lovely day.♥
DeleteVery pretty again. Of course, I think we'd all love to see Samuel's mantel!
ReplyDeleteI also love the work of Jim Shore. We do not find it very often here in Wales though, so I love seeing your sweet Jim Shore pieces.
~~~Waving~~~Deb in Wales xoxo
Deb, I don't know that you would be interested in the many faces of Transformers! Samuel has full reign of the downstairs including decorating and cleaning. It's a good deal for both of us! Have a wonderful afternoon. xoxo ♥
DeleteYou have so many charming Easter decorations, Martha! The eggs on the mantel made me smile--love their expressions! A friend surprised me this year by sending me a Easter banner for my fireplace that she made with her Cricut machine.
ReplyDeletePat, my nephew's wife has one as well. She makes the loveliest pieces. I hope you share your banner with us. Happy Spring! ♥
DeleteMartha Ellen, first of all, I love your Header, it's very nice. The Beatrix Potter vase is delightful. Those books sure are fun to read. I like the ceramic egg and chick too. Many years ago, I took a pottery class and made a few things for Christmas. Those little dollar bunnies are too cute. I have a store near my home, so I'll check and see if they have any. Your home is decorated just right for Easter, and it really looks charming, Martha Ellen.
I can't get one done and you have two beautifully decorated. I have to rummage around in the attic to find my stuff.
DeleteThis is a cozy post and glad to see the mantle lovelies. The egg faces brought a smile to mine as did the thought of a transformer mantle. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, eh? (smile)
ReplyDeleteNice to have you here Sandra. Samuel has quite a collection of Transformers and all of the things he enjoys. Yes, beauty is in the eye of the beholder! I hope you are doing well, my friend. ♥
