Welcome to the Joy of Home with Martha Ellen

Mantel Wreath

Hello friends and welcome to my home.  I hope to share my life at home and travels with you.  So many of you have been sharing with me and now I feel compelled to venture into the world of blogging.  It's going to be a learning curve, so I hope you will bear with me as I learn a new skill.

Christmas at our home is filled with family.  We host our children and grandchildren for the holidays.  It's a fun, exciting and tiring time.

I received a new camera and hope to learn more about photography! Hopefully you will join me in my new adventure. Thank you for taking a look!

  1. Yay! I get to be the first to comment on your new Blog! Welcome to the world of blogging. Yes, it does take a while to learn all the features available to you. I'm just learning new things myself. I'll be glad to help if you have any questions--that is, if it's something you see I can do on my Blog. If it's not there, I probably don't know how to do it yet. It's so nice to see some photos of your house--love those windows in your dining area. I love being to visualize where people live when I'm thinking about them.

  3. Congratulations! Welcome to the wonderful world of online blogging! I've been at this for some time, off and on, with my three blogs, and I'm always finding new ways to do things and tweaking my page, so you never really stop learning.
I'm really looking forward to being along for the journey as you familiarise yourself with your new camera and start to see the world through different eyes ~ which you will ~ I'm so excited for you!
Did you make your mantel wreath? It is lovely, so bright and festive looking.

    1. Deborah, thank you! I feel a little clumsy as I have been trying to add things to the sidebar with no avail. That's not going to stop me--New Year's resolution!
I did not make the mantel wreath. I found it in Williamsburg several years ago. I used to make all fresh wreaths and fans with fresh fruit, but have now reverted to using artificial. Happy New Year to you! ♥
