Some of you have asked about our stateroom on the QM2. As I've said we had an inside room. We really didn't spend that much time in our room and we wanted to spend that money on our time in England. You can spend a little more and get a balcony, but we didn't. I'll have to say I don't think if we had a balcony we would have had a better time! The prices of the suites, etc. are way out of our league!
Take a look a this link to see our room in 360 degrees. http://www.cunard.com/cruise-ships/queen-mary-2/accommodation/ Drop down to the Standard Inside Room and that is ours. This room had everything we needed to enjoy our crossing. Yes, there are much larger staterooms and suites. If you have deep pockets, go for it!
Let's get out our key and go in!
I apparently did not take many/any photos of our stateroom. Here is one of me with Susan Branch's "A Fine Romance" - My inspiration for our adventure! I am sitting on our king sized bed. This photo really was not taken to show the stateroom. There is a wall beside each bedside chest--that is the width of our room.
And this photo of the flowers our children sent me for Mother's Day in our stateroom.
I'm not in the habit of taking photos of bathrooms, but ours was a good size considering it is on a ship. We had a long vanity style sink with a full mirror above and cabinets below for storage. Of course the toilet and a good sized shower. We have been on other ships that had much smaller bathrooms. So I would rate this one better in size.
There was plenty of storage for all of our clothes. A stack of drawers. A cabinet with a safe and more storage and also two separate wardrobes for our hang up clothes. If you look over the bed there is also storage and two cabinets. That's where I put our cameras and hats and Kindle and a few other small items. There was also a desk and chair with a mirror and a tv- Also a small table and a chair (above).
To sum it all up (our stateroom that is) we were very pleased with our accommodations on the Queen Mary 2. Now, why didn't the steward show up this morning to make my bed? Last night Grayden wanted to know where the chocolate was for his pillow!
